Position Overview
West Shore Parks & Recreation is looking for energetic, enthusiastic Pickleball Instructors to join our team. Under the direction of the Sport and Youth Programmer, Pickleball Instructors are responsible for planning and facilitating beginner pickleball lessons and programs for children, youth, and adults.
Job Duties & Accountabilities
- This position is responsible for the quality instruction of beginner pickleball lessons and programs for children, youth, and adults.
- Adapt instructions to participants of all ages and abilities.
- Imaginative and flexible personality required to motivate participants and ensure a fun environment.
Qualifications
- NCCP Pickleball Instructor 1 (minimum requirement).
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Previous experience providing instruction, coaching and guidance.
- Ability to foster an environment that encourages participation.
- Direct experience with sport development techniques, lesson planning and implementation.
- Must be comfortable instructing and demonstrating in a group environment, as well as one-on-one.
- Must be physically capable of carrying, assembling, and disassembling pickleball nets.
