Position Overview
We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic staff to help offer fun recreation programs for children and youth in the Westshore. These events give participants the chance to make friends, try different activities, and build important life skills.
In this role, the successful candidate will help with organizing, planning, running, and reviewing programs. This auxiliary position includes supporting StoryWalks, Neighborhood Nights, outdoor movies, and community special events.
Employees also receive access to counselling and a staff facility pass, which provides drop-in use of the weightroom, fitness classes, skating, the pool and our 9-hole golf course.

Qualifications
- Emergency First Aid and CPR C certificate is required.
- Class 5 BC Driver’s license is required.
- CLASS 4* unrestricted drivers’ license is an asset.
- Previous experience leading programs is required.
- Preference will be given to those applicants who have some post-secondary training in recreation, youth, childcare or a related field.
- Arts, crafts, and face painting experience is an asset.
A clear and current criminal record check is a condition of employment (employer initiated) and is the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
