Position Overview

Employees also receive access to counselling and a staff facility pass, which provides drop-in use of the weightroom, fitness classes, skating, the pool and our 9-hole golf course.
Job Duties & Accountabilities
- Plan, organize, and deliver engaging aquafit classes suitable for participants of varying fitness levels.
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrations ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Monitor participants during classes, offering modifications and encouragement as needed.
- Set up and maintain equipment, adhere to facility guidelines, and create a positive and welcoming environment.
- Stay current with fitness trends and certifications to maintain a high standard of instruction.
Qualifications
- Current recognized WaterFit Instructor certification from one of the following: BCRPA, CALA, YMCA, WaterArt or Greater Victoria Regional Aquafit course.
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C/AED certification is required.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering both shallow and deep aquafit classes.
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills are required.
- Demonstrated experience in public relations.
- Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively in a team environment as well as independently.
